1: A term coined by Venus Raj, as first heard during the question and answer portion of the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant. It comes from the root word "bonggang bongga", a term commonly used in Filipino gayspeak, which means "extravagantly extravagant", "outlandishly outlandish", or "exuberantly exuberant".

  * e.g.,  ... "It's not a major major mistake, unless you say it in national television." William Baldwin: "What's the biggest mistake that you've made in your life and what did you do to make it right?" Venus: "You know what, Sir, in my 22 years of existence, I can say that there's nothing major major problem that I've done in my life because I'm very confident with my family, with the love that they are giving to me. So thank you so much that I'm here. Thank you, thank you so much!"

1: At Miss Universe Pageant 2010, during the Q&A Portion. Miss Philippines answered two times Major. And its very popular now.

1: The English translation of the Filipino colloquialism: bonggang bongga. Culled primarily from local gay lingo. Popularized by Ma. Venus Raj during the question and answer portion of the 2010 Ms. Universe pageant. She may have also meant to say "medyo, medyo" or "chever, chever".
